Hi!
There’s this party coming up. A soirée so to speak to kick off spring. I’m going with my bestie Janel @janelloves and decided it would be a good opportunity to make a couple of new dresses! While I love designing and sewing (and will never stop doing this).... making a new dress is so time consuming and physically draining, it helps to light a fire under me!
I bought this really cool printed chiffon in San Francisco when I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle a couple of years ago. While I was super excited about the fabric at the time, life has since gone by so fast. As she says, it’s better to “age fabric.” Obviously accidentally! I’ve decided NOW is the time to finally cut into this beautiful chiffon.
Since I’m making her dress “one size fits most” it has to be versatile and forgiving. It will be a wrap style closure with a circle skirt and slightly voluminous sleeves.
....The party ended up being a blast! We looked fab and obvi took lots of pics. We received a lot of wonderful compliments and stood out in a sea of models, actors, stylists, and tech people. Check out the pics!
xoxo, Kim
